FAQ – 3D Printing Service
Short answers for business and private customers. For instant pricing, upload your file in the configurator; for more complex projects use the project request on the English homepage.
How do I order a 3D print?
Ready 3D file (STL/OBJ/3MF): upload via the online configurator, choose material, see the price and order. No file, scanning/CAD needed, or special requirements: project request on the homepage or via Request your project.
Which processes and materials do you offer?
FDM (PLA, PETG, ASA, TPU, carbon fiber) and resin for high detail. Plus 3D scanning and CAD/reverse engineering. See the Material Finder.
How accurate are the parts?
Dimensional accuracy depends on process, material, geometry and orientation. As a rough guide, FDM is often around 0.1 mm on non-critical dimensions — please flag critical fits in your request so we can align orientation and tolerances.
How long does delivery take?
Typically 3–7 business days after order confirmation, depending on capacity, material and finishing. Express by arrangement.
Do you work with companies (invoice, NDA)?
Yes. We ship to businesses across Germany; pickup in Dresden is possible. Confidentiality/NDA on request. Mention PO or net invoice needs in your project request.
What about the right of withdrawal?
Custom-made 3D prints generally have no statutory right of withdrawal. See our terms. Defective production is reworked under our quality commitment.
Which file formats do you accept?
Configurator: mainly STL, OBJ and 3MF. STEP/STP and assemblies preferably via project request — useful for technical parts and design work.
Where are you based?
dbcons GmbH, Gasanstaltstraße 35, 01237 Dresden, Germany. Local production, shipping Germany-wide.
